07/18: Me and Kels hadn't even started dating when i. asked her if she just wanted to fuck off and go to a tropical island with me. She answered with two questions. 1. where are we going? 2. and what happens if we don't like each other when we get back
Basse Terre: we found a cool little airbnb on the southern part of the Island  and rented a tiny little ford fiesta to explore, i wanted to see everything which wasn't easy because a lot of what we wanted to see was hidden and the only language spoken on the island was French...
Parc National de la Guadeloupe:
Chute du Carbet:
Plage de la Caravelle: this was the most beautiful beach we found on the island, with crystal clear water and white sand. But getting here was a struggle because you had  to hop over a chainlink fence and walk through rotting seaweed that quite honestly  smelt like toxic waste...
Grande Vigie:
La Grande Soufriere: The highest peak and only active volcano on the island, it was beautiful and tropical at the bottom and cold and hellish at the top, with 50km winds it was pretty easy for a small blonde girl to almost fall down into one of the crevices ...
Stairway to heaven
Cascade aux Écrevisses: When she tells you that if you jump you will definitely die but you want to do it anyway...
Cascade Paradis:   Allegedly this is the way to what translates to "Paradise Falls" it's supposed to be an easy stroll through the rainforest  to get there, in reality you're bushwalking your way through the jungle trying to find the waterfall.
We found a beautiful desolate river but to this day i'm convinced the paradise waterfall doesn't exist...
Isla Terre - de - Haut:
Plage de Pompierre:    These  pictures aren't exactly from Plage de Pompierre , but from a litte island at the end of the bay . Now getting to this island was fairly easy. You walk down the left hand side of this beach all the way to the end of the bay . Then you chuck your backpack onto your head and walk through  chest deep water to get there. Fairly straight forward yea? until...  On  the way back nearly at the beach i stepped on what i now know was a not  poisonous sea urchin. Whose spines  Kelsey later had to pull out of my foot that night while i screamed like a little girl...
